Negura Bunget - Dacia hiperboreana - romanian (dacian) pagan atmosferic black metal

Negură Bunget formed at the end of 1994, as a duo, with Hupogrammos Disciple on guitars, vocals, and keyboards, and Negru on drums. In 1997, Sol'Faur Spurcatu joined the group on guitar. In a 2004 interview, Negru explained the symbolism of the name:
Negură Bunget is a black fog coming from a deep dark dense forest. The name tries to picture somehow the kind of atmosphere, both musical and spiritual we'd want to create through our music. It has also an esoteric nature, standing for the inexpressible parts of our ideology. The two words are also from the Tracic substrate of the Romanian language (the oldest one, containing about 90 words) as the interest for our local history and spirituality is something of crucial importance and meaning for us as a band.

Wolfchant - A Paganstorm - Pagan Metal

Wolfchant is a band formed in St. Oswald, Germany in August 2003 by Lokhi, Gaahnt, Skaahl and Norgahd. Wolfchant's lyrics deal with legends and folk tales from Nordic mythology. In August 2005 they signed a record contract with CCP Records. With the first full length album Bloody Tales of Disgraced Lands (2005) the band gained supra-regional respect.
In February 2007 Nattulv became member of Wolfchant after former bass guitar Gaahnt quit the band for family reasons. Nattulv was replaced by Bahznar, for their album Determined Damnation, which was released in April 2009.

They play folk-influenced Metal with clean and screaming vocals. The band members are B. Techet (guitars), D. Möller (vocals), S. Beck (bass), M. Pomplun (guitars), S. Jung (keyboards), T. Völker (drums).

Turisas - One More - folk metal

Turisas is a folk metal band, incorporating elements of power metal and symphonic metal along with frequent harsh vocals. Turisas is known to play most of their solos on electric violin, as opposed to traditional guitar solos. Falkenbach - ...When Gjallarhorn Will Sound - pagan folk metal

The band formed in 1989, when it recorded the Havamal demo, and has recorded a total of seven demos; however, only five are known. Three more were released by 1995: Skinn Av Sverði Söl Valtiva (Old Norse, "The Sun Shines on the Swords of Slaughter-Gods"), Læknishendr (Old Norse, "Healing Hands"), and Ásynja (Old Norse, "Goddess"). Of all of these except Læknishendr, only nine copies were released. The Havamal demo is allegedly clean folk music, but since then the sound has become more raw and influenced by black metal influence and matured into an epic metal sound.
Most of Falkenbach’s lyrics are in English, but some are in Old Norse, Latin, and Old German. Most, if not all of the lyrics in Old Norse are actually taken from heathen literature: for example, the chorus lines in the song "Donar’s Oak" are actually verses four and five of Grímnismál, a poem of the Elder Edda. (Hávamál, after which the first demo is named, is another such poem.)

Isengard - Neslepaks - black/Viking pagan metal

Isengard is a solo project of Fenriz, famous for being the drummer of Darkthrone, created in 1989.
It is rooted on Norwegian black/Viking metal and avant-garde rock on some tracks, and named after the Tolkienian locale Isengard.

Career

The person/creature in Isengard's logo was taken from an old Lord of the Rings RPG called MERP (Middle Earth Roleplaying). The original illustration represents Thuringwethil, the vampire from Tolkien's book The Silmarillion.
Fenriz created Isengard because he had many musical ideas that didn't fit in with the style and music of Darkthrone.
Fenriz performed all instruments and vocals himself.
Vinterskugge is a compilation of three demos recorded before Høstmørke full length album was recorded.
When asked how he felt about Isengard in a November 2007 interview, Fenriz commented that he doesn't "understand why people like it so much".[1] He stated that people like "the elements" which he doesn't like, namely the project's folk metal aspect.[1]
